Learning at Home
While teachers will continue to work remotely to guide student learning at home, caregivers are essential to providing a safe learning environment and needed assistance to learners. Together, caregivers and teachers will support students in their growth and development as we navigate the complex nature of the global situation together.
In the Comox Valley School District, elementary students are focusing on literacy and numeracy and aiming for 1 to 2 hours of work a day in addition to outdoor activities, Science and Fine Arts. Teachers will supply guidance for daily learning activities, but it is important that caregivers provide a daily schedule to foster learning opportunities.
